Rudden Family Services has three main programs of support:

Wheels For Change

No matter the age, we accept reliable vehicle donations. We give the donor FULL FAIR MARKET VALUE as a tax deduction for their donated vehicle.  RFS inspects and fixes any minor repairs needed.  Then we work with one of our 20 community partners in Berks County to identify a person or family living in poverty who can put it to good use. The recipient pays a nominal purchase price, their own insurance and maintenance.  This is another step toward self-sufficiency and another step out of poverty.

   

The Essentials 

RFS receives donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and other household items.  Donors receive a tax deductible receipt after pickup, then we sort and give these items to individuals and families identified by one of our 20 community partners. The only costs associated with this program are logistical; labor, transportation and storage. We are always in need of sponsors to help cover the delivery costs.

Sponsor A Family 

Help a family transition their house into a home.

• $100 donation will sponsor a senior citizen or veteran. 

• $200 donation will sponsor an adult couple or a mother and child. 

• $300 donation will sponsor a single parent and 2 children. 

• $400 donation will sponsor a single parent and 3 children. 

• $500 donation will sponsor 2 parents and up to 4 children.

With each program, our recipient(s) of goods will send a handwritten letter to express their gratitude to the donor(s) or sponsor(s).
